A New Era for Composites—Protech Talked with Industry Colleagues about Innovations in Protective Materials
On July 26th, 2024, the 5th China International Congress on Composite Materials (CCCM-5), held by the Chinese Society for Composite materials, was grandly opened at Urumqi International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xinjiang. The conference brought together top experts, scholars and enterprise representatives all over the world, aiming to discuss the latest research results and application trends in the field of composite materials. As the largest and highest level conference for academic communication and scientific and technological promotion in the field of composite materials in China, CCCM had become the wind vane in this field. The theme of the conference for this year was "New Composite Materials Determined Future". and It adopted the new mode of "2+48+8+1", which was 2 main venues, 48 academic sessions, 8 special sessions and 1 international exhibition of composite material industry innovation achievements and technology.

In this conference, the 46th session "Application of Composite Materials in Ballistic and Explosion-proof Field", which was organized by Chinese Society for composite materials and undertook by Beijing Protech New Material Science Co.,Ltd.and Jiangnan University, was one of the components of the conference. Dr. Johnny Zhou, acted as one of the host of the session, not only delivered an academic report on "Mechanical Behavior and Ballistic Response of UHMWPE Fiber Reinforced Resin Matrix Composites", which demonstrated the latest achievements of Protech team in composite material research and elaborated the potential in practical protection applications, but also presided over the academic reports for more than 10 experts. These reports covered a wide range of contents from theoretical research to practical applications, deeply discussed the latest progress and future development trend of composite materials in the field of ballistic and explosion-proof, and promoted in-depth exchanges and cooperation among the participants.

At the exhibition of the 7th International Composites Industry Innovation Achievement and Technology which held concurrently with the CCCM Conference, Protech exhibited a variety of the latest protective composites and three-dimensional composites as one of the exhibitors. These innovative materials attracted the attention and favor of teachers and students from Harbin Institute of Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University and many other famous universities and institutes. The protective composites shown by Protech were excellent in lightweight, high strength and impact resistance, and could be widely used in military, security, aerospace and other fields. The three-dimensional composites, on the other hand, attracted great interests from the participants with the unique structural design and excellent performance.
During the exhibition, visitors were flocked at Protech's booth. Protech engineers enthusiastically introduced the performance and application fields of the products to the visitors and provided detailed answers to specific technical questions.Through this exhibition, Protech not only enhanced its brand awareness, but also laid a solid foundation for future technical cooperation and market expansion.
