Protech Showcased Latest 3D Composites Solutions at CCE 2025
From September 16th to 18th , 2025, the 28th China International Composites Exhibition (CCE 2025) was grandly held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The Shanghai CCE Composites Exhibition was the largest and most influential composites exhibition in China and pan- Asia. With the theme “Sustainable Development and Smart Manufacturing,” the event expanded its exhibition area to over 70,000 square meters for the first time. It brought together 852 enterprises from 17 countries and regions around the world and attracted more than 30000 visitors.
The booth design continued to feature Protech's core color scheme of corporate blue and white, making a clean and sophisticated tone. At the same time, the vibrant orange injected a modern and dynamic energy into the booth. The deign created a distinective exhibition area that successfully attracted large crowds and garnered widespread admiration.
With strong R&D capabilities and unremitting spirit of exploration, Protech had successfully developed an intelligent, fully automated 3D composite forming technology. This breakthrough enables the industrial-scale production of large-size, high-efficiency, and customizable 3D continuous fiber composite products. At the exhibition, the exhibits included honeycomb composites with continuous-fiber made from carbon fiber and aramid fiber, ultra-thick 3D composite panel preforms with various structures and composite panels, as well as multiple 3D continuous fiber composite components. Exhibition items with different structures showcased their unique strengths, standing out due to their lightweight nature, high strength, superior stiffness, exceptional impact resistance, and net-shape forming capabilities. These distinctive structural properties made them suitable for a wide range of applications, including protective equipment, marine and vehicle engineering, aerospace, medical and sporting equipment.
The wine glass, UAV frame, and radar dome preforms displayed in the core exhibition area—all 3D profiled components—attracted the highest level of attention, due to their dual advantages of performance breakthroughs and scenario-specific adaptability. These components utilized 3D preforms as reinforcement and were produced through customized, flexible manufacturing technologies that enabled the integrated forming of parts with various shapes and dimensions. The near-net-shape method delivered core advantages including: lightweight, impact resistance, damage resistance, high energy absorption, low sensitivity to apertures, excellent design adaptability, and adaptability to various environments. This allowed visitors to intuitively experience the innovative charm of 3D composite materials, where the perfect integration of structure and function.
The current exhibition had refected the market's urgent demands for 3D composites solutions. Traditional two-dimensional laminates were increasingly facing bottlenecks in addressing complex geometric structures, achieving integrated one-piece froming, and pushing the breakthough of lightweighting further. Meanwhile, the market, especially in sectors like new energy vehicles, aerospace, medical equipment, and high-end consumer devices, was seeking solutions that could simultaneously deliver design freedom, performance integration, and cost optimization. In the future, Protech would focus on technological innovations as its core driving force, continuing to deepen its expertise in the 3D composites sector. By addressing the pain points of the industry and aligning with market demands, we aim to build a comprehensive chain from R&D to application.
